News: Jacqueline Falk — the largely private daughter of late "Columbo" star Peter Falk — was found dead at a Los Angeles residence on Monday, April 27, authorities say. Read on to discover the full story!
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office reported Jacqueline Falk’s death and ruled the manner of death as suicide. Records note the body has been released and that the case remains open while investigators continue to review the circumstances.
Jacqueline was one of two daughters adopted by Peter Falk and his first wife, Alyce Mayo. She mostly stayed out of the public eye despite her father’s fame. Her sister Catherine has been a vocal advocate on family and conservatorship rights, citing barriers to contact with their father in his final years and pushing for so-called "Peter Falk’s Law." The sisters previously said they learned of Peter Falk’s death through media reports and their attorney and alleged they were not notified about his burial.
