The American Eagle Foundation identified the missing birds as Wesley, Caesar and Rockland. Wesley is a female with a black leg band and a chronic shoulder injury; Caesar is a male with an orange identification band marked SE who suffered a traumatic wing injury that led to a partial amputation; Rockland is a male with a healed right carpal fracture and a shorter right ulna, is not fully flighted, and wears an orange band marked SK.
In an April 24 video AEF CEO Lori Moore said teams are actively tracking the birds and thanked locals for tips and leads. Anyone who spots one of the eagles should contact the American Eagle Foundation at 865-429-0157, via its website, or through its social channels.
