On the Armchair Expert podcast in February, Brown discussed why he posts pictures of their sons Amaré (10) and Andrew (14). In contrast to hosts who avoid showing their children, he said that as Black parents he believes visibility can provide safety and access that may help protect them.

Boundaries and parenting rules

The couple maintains a strict no-photos policy during family outings so the boys can enjoy normal nights out. They also try not to mold their children into versions of themselves — Brown noted Bathé once pushed a son toward dance, but he left class after realizing he was the only boy.
